We hope everyone had an awesome summer and is ready for another year of fun, learning, and Scouting adventures with Pack 431! Here’s what you need to know as we kick off our 2025/2026 Scout Year.

🚩 First Pack Meeting – Tuesday, August 12th

Join us for our first Pack Meeting of the new Scouting year on Tuesday, August 12th at 6:30 PM in the Parish Center Cafeteria at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

🏕️ Campouts Planned!

We have four amazing campouts on the calendar this year:

1. Spook-O-Ree – October 10–12, 2025 @ Camp Soule
   BB Guns, Archery, Face Painting, Trunk-or-Treat, and the famous Spooky Trail!

2. Unit 431 December Campout – December 5–7, 2025 @ Camp Borein
   Enjoy fishing and the climbing wall. Troop 431G will be joining us for a weekend of fellowship!

3. Water Bottle Rocket Weekend – February 6–8, 2026 @ Sand Hill Scout Reservation
   Launch rockets for trophies and fun! Plus scout crafts and outdoor activities.

4. Splash-O-Ree 2026 – April 17–19, 2026 @ Camp Soule
   A weekend of water fun including canoeing, swimming, BB guns, archery, fishing, and more!

🏎️ Pinewood Derby is now LEGO Derby!

This year, we’re switching gears and going full LEGO!
Instead of wood blocks, Cub Scouts will build their derby cars using LEGO pieces on a special LEGO-compatible chassis. A date in January or February will be announced soon. Start thinking about your build now!

🚀 Water Bottle Rockets are Back!

We’re excited to bring back Water Bottle Rockets on February 7th 2026 at Sand Hill Scout Reservation!
We’re upgrading the launchers so Scouts can pump and blast their rockets sky-high — “to infinity and beyond!” 🌌
This fun event is part of our February family campout.

🏕️ Den Changes & New Leaders!

To better serve our growing dens:

• Webelos and Bears Dens will be split into two smaller groups with a total of 4 dens.
• New Leaders joining our Pack:
  • Todd VanAuken & Chris Maly - Webelos Den Leaders.
  • Wendy Rote & Amanda Taylor – Assistant Webelos Den Leaders.
  • Juan Mendez & Bob Ammon - Bear Den Leaders.
  • Ken Cerreta – Den Leader for our Lions and Tigers.

We are incredibly grateful to all of our 16 amazing volunteers!

🍿 Popcorn Season Begins!

The 2025 Popcorn Fundraiser starts August 23rd!

Join us on Tuesday, August 19th for a Popcorn Kickoff Presentation with Hend. This fundraiser is essential to keeping Pack 431 running — our goal this year is $20,000, which funds nearly all our Pack programming. More information will be out later this week.

We can’t wait to see everyone back and ready for adventure. Let’s make this year our best one yet!
